Help iPhone speakers?

Hey guys, I only have sound coming from my left speaker on my iPhone. Is my iPhone defective or what. Please help.

Do you mean the left headphone?
Try resetting the connection. In other words, pull the connection loose, and put it back in, firmly. Make sure it goes in all the way. If the connection is loose, then that 2nd or 3rd ring on the headphone plug will not make contact, and it will go to "mono" or left-channel only.

Maybe it's because the right "speaker" is a microphone, not a speaker!

I think that should be correct, as one of them is not a speaker, it's a microphone. (I think....)

The left side of the iPhone is the speaker. The right is the microphone.

Speaking from personal experience...

I was watching a movie, with the phone in landscape position and couldn't figure out why the sound wasn't working.

Then I realized that I had placed my hand over the speaker.



D'oh!
