HELP! Why is my iPhone getting so HOT!

I just upgraded to the 3GS from my old BB Curve and this thing gets so hot it makes my face feel like its gonna catch fire. I could litterally fry an egg on this damn thing. I haven't had a chance to take it to AT&T yet, but i will after the holiday.

Anyone else have this problem?

Mine gets quite warm but never too bad. Im guessing it is because of the case i have on it though.

I think its an issue. I don't have a problem with mine warming up other than when its charging and even then its only slightly warm, not hot.

soleobjective, take it to an Apple Store, not AT&T. If you don't have one close to you, you can ship it. The turn around for replacements is fast, usually just 2 or three days.

I have a 1st gen MacBookPro. I learned very early that some laptops can be dangerous to human flesh, especially bare legs in the summer. I bought a portable and an "at-home" lapdesks for it. Now it seems that someone needs to develop a similar device for the iPhone

take it back and exchange it. My first 3GS hot super hot during the first day I had it and the battery stopped holding a charge. Apple replaced it and be fine ever since

I'll try that tomorrow, hopefully they wont try and charge me some bs fee.
