Hiding apps

Can you still hide apps in the App Store app on iPhone? I try to swipe and hide them but isn't working. I can hide them in iTunes under purchases, but not on my iPhone. Thanks

What do you mean by "still" hide apps? Was this possible before?

You can remove (uninstall) an app from your iPhone by tapping any app until they all start to jiggle, then tapping the "X" by the upper left-hand corner icon of the app you wish to uninstall:

You can always re-install the app later, without being charged again in the case of paid apps, from the app store, as long as you're using the same Apple ID you used to make the purchase the first time around.

I'm not sure of any way to hide a given app from appearing in the App Store app, if that's what you meant instead.

I mean when you go into purchased apps on iPhone, before you could swipe over the app and hide it from the purchased list

I think that feature was removed. I could be wrong, though.

This was a 5.x feature that Apple removed on 6.0. You can't use the phone to hide them anymore, but you can still do so from iTunes on your computer.

Windows 7 Directions:

Launch iTunes on the computer your device is synced to.
Choose iTunes Store on the left. (Or Store/Home from the menu?)
Choose AppStore at the top.
Choose Purchases from the list on the right.
Choose Apps near the top.
Choose All at top right.
Choose iPhone etc. top middle.
(From the View menu (top left) select something that shows you the app icons?)

Holding the mouse over an icon will reveal the cross in the corner to hide that app.

Apps can be revealed again by clicking your account name, top right, signing in, and scrolling down to iTunes in the Cloud.

I guess they removed that one, too. It worked on 6.0.

I think their may be some kind of lock up folder apps or something like that.But I haven't tried those yet if they work that way by hiding too.
