didn't realize i had so much music and need to free up some space how do i delete certain artists off my ihpone?

Create a Smart Playlist in iTunes and limit the total filesize. You should be able to filter by artist or rating.

i figured out how i just clicked sync only checked files then i unchecked the stuff i didn't want and it deleted them
