Duplicate contact information is appearing in my iPhone - and iPad - Contacts List. Some contacts appear two or three times but some are duplicated in far greater numbers. Contact information has initially only been input once. I have tried to delete the duplicated entries - of which there are many - but they keep reappearing! iCloud is installed on both devices. I would really appreciate any advice to overcome this problem. Many thanks in advance for help offered.

I've had some that were the same, and I deleted the multiple listing(s) and re-synced, and that seemed to have fixed it.
According to this Apple support page, if your contact duplicates appear only on your iOS devices (and not within your iCloud account), you are most probably trying to use Exchange and iCloud contact sync at the same time:
