How evasi0n works (and why it's so impressive)

So, I'm not a super tech savvy guy, but I've always tried to get a general idea of how previous jailbreaks have worked, whether it was the PDF rendering bug in jailbreakme, or the ever important bootrom level limera1n exploit.

With the release of evasi0n though, the evad3rs have totally stepped up the game. This is seriously impressive stuff, kids.

I remember jailbreaking my first iPhone gen 1.

That took a while. Almost every step was manual and had to be performed step by step. It took a while and maybe a few times.

I find it both fascinating and mind-numbingly brilliant! I wish I could spend a few hours with members of the team sometime. I doubt I'd be able to ask any meaningful questions but I'd certainly try.

Yeah you guys are right, the 6.1 jailbreak is the easiest jailbreak I've done. It just took me 10 minutes to do it.
