How to backup all messages from 4S to my new iPhone 5?

Please help me, i'm using 4S now, wann buy i5, can i use iTunes ? Will it backup all my messages from 4S to new i5 ?

Not familiar with the app but the data for apps are suppose to be backed also.

IF it's selected as an option when configuring iCloud backup:

Hook your 4s up to your laptop. Open iTunes. Right click on the name of your iPhone and click 'back up'. After The computer finishes backing up your contacts and stuff hook up your iPhone 5. Right click on the name of your phone and click 'sync'. The end.
