Does any one know how to change the notification sounds for things like SMS, email, etc?

Me too! I would love to know if this was possible, but I don't think it is.

yeah you can't do that....you can only turn the sounds off or on, but not change them

You can Jailbreak it and download the Borat sound package, every time I get a SMS or email Borat screams "You will never get this, you will never get this, lalalala"

Yes, but if you are using a 1.1.4 Jailbroken iPhone (as I am), Customize doesn't work. I wonder when Customize for 1.1.4 will be available? Mark
uhg, i do not understand why people are still crying about this, just change the system plist to 1.1.3 and install customize. or look around for the modified customize. Google is your friend. I have a JB 1.1.4 phone running customize. When i go to installer it shows up twice, don't know why, but it works, i can change everything but the dock, i have to SSH for that. But it works.

here try this everyone, its the WORKING customize off of my 1.1.4 JB iPhone. it may or may not work, cant promise, please post back in here if you get it to work or not and what you are running.

Changing notification sounds is merely a matter of using iBrickr. iBrickr allows you to upload whatever notification sound you wish for e-mails, voicemails, or SMS's.

And if you are on a mac you can use Transmit to ssh into your phone and go to System/library/Frameworks/UIaudio and change the file you want to aac first and then change the extension to caf name it exactly as the file you want to replace and the drag it to transmit and replace.

Also there is a program called ifuntastic which is also for mac but you just go to file system and it takes you right to the UIsounds you don't have to convert them two times here just convert it to Aiff and then drag it to the file you want to change you also have to rename it to the file you want to change and that it.

I know this is a NOOB question, but I have to ask.

Once I Jailbreak my phone, will I still be able to run the apps that I already have loaded?

I am a Network Admin and use some admin tools quite regularly, not sure if I would be able to still use them.

Thanks in advance.
