Hi, i am new to this forum and want to ask the following question, as I could not find an answer to it neither here: http://forums.ilounge.com/itunes-mac-pc/31133-how-relocate-your-itunes-library.html and here: http://forums.everythingicafe.com/threads/syncing-your-ipod-iphone-to-a-new-itunes-library-look-here-first.37178/ but could not find an easy and straight-forward way to do that.

My new macbook pro just arrived, and I want to move the contents of my old Vista iTunes to my Mac.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

There is a program in OSX called Migration Assistant. Use it.

np, Keir.

Of course, you can always use the manual way that Apple proposes.

It, however, requires much more concentration (and a bit of luck) compared to using specially designed tools that do the job in one go.

You don't need third party software or the iPod method you linked to do this. You can use Migration Assistant or just copy the files that are on the Windows machine over to an external hard drive and then onto the Mac.

I am transfering my iTunes from a PC to my new Mac mini. I have no issues with the music and pictures but have a problem with the movies. My PC has a second drive with about 600 MB of movies. My mini only has a 500 gb drive but i have a external 2 tb firewire drive. I want to transfer all the movies to the external drive. Can I tell Migration Assistant to put them there?
