been working for 3 days now here. After I first got it running, it stopped working the next day, then I switched my sim to my Omnia HD and then back to the iPhone and it's been working ever since. Keeping my fingers crossed

Not sure if this was answered, but it means that...Please explain what a REGULAR MESSAGING PLAN is. I have the iPhone text messaging plan on my iPhone but it's not the unlimited one it's the 1500 texts per month plan. What unlimited text messaging plan did you change yours to?
did you update the ipcc to 5.0? and did you make sure your device changed on wireless.att.com before you re-inserted the sim to your iPhone?I switched my sim card with another phone and it still doesn't work. Although as soon as I put the sim card into the old flip phone it could send mms's immediately. Before it could never send them when it was switched into the flip phone but could make calls and send sms messages, so something in the network/system has changed regarding mms messages. I should have checked to see if the internet would work on the flip since before it wouldn't. As soon as the sim card was back into the iPhone it didn't work with any combination of the settings under cellular data network. I guess I used up all my luck on the 3.0 betas.![]()
Yep used the 5.0 ipcc update that you posted the site to since it is the only one that showed the cellular data network settings on 3.1. And logged in right after switching the sims, it wasn't changed, logged back out then in and it was changed. Even before it changed I sent the mms from that phone and it went out immediately which it did not do a few months back, it would never send mms's. Made some calls, sent some texts and then put it back into the iPhone. And no luck getting it to work.did you update the ipcc to 5.0? and did you make sure your device changed on wireless.att.com before you re-inserted the sim to your iPhone?
I had the same issues. I put the SIM in the non-iphone and used it a bunch (mediaNET, SMS, MMS all worked on the old phone) and then left the SIM in it for about an hour. Then I put it back in the iPhone and I've had MMS working ever since. Also, I recently restored and set up my wife's iPhone as a new phone. After the restore, all I had to do to get MMS on her's again was update the ipcc and reboot and it worked.Yep used the 5.0 ipcc update that you posted the site to since it is the only one that showed the cellular data network settings on 3.1. Just checked my att account, and I haven't been charged for any MMS so far. I've had it for going on a month now.Not sure if this was answered, but it means that...
Messaging plans come with MMS & SMS all included in the package.
iPhone text only comes with SMS only.
Therefore if you have iPhone text, you will be charged pay per use charges for each MMS sent or received.
Nope no word on anything yet. And 3.1 is still on beta 3 so I am thinking it is going to go GM very soon with the 3.1 release shortly after. That still doesn't mean mms will be ready. Although I don't think Apple is removing the camera icon this time around if AT&T isn't ready.Any news on when MMS or 3.1 will be released, yet?
change the cellular data network settings... on the first post of this thread i put the mms settings i used when i had this same problem.powered my phone down last night. now getting red exclamation marks shen i try to send. what to do?
You need to type "cd c:\" then "cd program files" then "cd iTunes" then "iTunes.exe /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1"i am using 64 bit and i am pasting C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1
it says 'C:/Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
