Yeah, me too. But then I realized that I am on an iPhone forum with people who love this thing to death, and got brave enough to click.I was a little worried about opening this post.
Yes, I do. Of course we all want the iPhone if we are researching it and talking about it. But hey, it's all good fun.
not at all, touching an iPhone is all ive thought about for so long! and none of us can for 10 days
I just thought I would give everyone a good laugh bc all the anger on here about fake people n arguments n stuff like dat.
there seem to be a lot of these going around lately. they usually start with "LOL" or "OMG" followed by a question that has been addressed ad nauseum. as much as i love this message board, i find myself not posting as often just because there's too much OMG's and LOL's going on around here, and not enough discussion.
but then again, there really isn't too much to talk about any more. the only thing that we do not have yet is plan info (which is useful) and the phone itself which is, of course, very useful.
Yeah, we're just passing the time. Only 10 days left.....Cant really discuss a product that isn't out yet

Just think where we were a month ago in may...close to june, but far enough to really be frustrated about it.
I agree. Even threads that start with decent content get cluttered with noise. The signal to noise ratio on this board seems to be getting worse.
The kids have so much to say, yet make no tangible contribution to the knowledge of the board. This is a discussion board about the iPhone. Not Twitter.
I would encourage the mods to be more pro-active. Quantity of posts does not create quality. And lately it reads like the work of 1000 monkeys on typewriters...
yeah...that kind of sums it up for me. don't get me wrong, this board definitely needs some levity and joking, but not on the scale that it's currently at.
the "not twitter" comment describes it in a nutshell...sentences are written with no real purpose or objective...they're written just to be written.
the generational gap that has surfaced here as of late is definitely a contributing factor.

Give enough monkeys enough time on typewriters and eventually one of them will write Hamlet.
Give everyone a break. I mean what's there to talk about that's not already been said? We're all just here killing time until next Friday. Even the Bard himself would be lacking for a thing to say in this situation.
