the problem is that I don't have administrator privileges in my laptop (office policy) so I cannot install any of the new versions of iTunes, only 7.0.2 which is the "approved one" for some weird reason. Could I still sync an iPhone with my iTunes library if I have an older iTunes version? Assuming that not all the iPhone interphase features could be used, but still being able to use it as a phone + ipod?

Thanks a lot

Don't u have a home computer, or a good friend/family member with a home computer and no iPhone that will let you sync with it?
No, I don't have a home computer (maybe I should). And the friend/family thing is a good idea but I don't want to depend on somebody else everytime I want to update my music.

Why wouldn't upper management, or your IT guy upgrade iTunes for you? If you presented the case that it will increase your connectivity to the company and increase productivity when you're not at your desk than they should have no problem.

I've stopped carrying my notepad around to meetings now. The best bit is I can email the notes to the company blog where it's automatically parsed as a blog entry. I include photos of the dry erase board to capture our raw ideas for later review.

If you don't even own a home computer, for crying out loud, you have no businesss owning an iPhone. What are you thinking...? You're getting ahead of yourself.
