I do not know what the Samsung product does never saw it. I just want to be able to have multiple apps and Safari minimized and not closed.

Not with a stock iPad. You'll have to Jailbreak and install a tweak called "Backgrounder" from Cydia which allows true backgrounding.

Yeah, no I am not a jail breaker. Maybe an iOS update would have want I want someday.

If you want multiple app screens open, Jailbreak and install "Quasar" from Cydia.
