I don't like keeping stuff scattered in several different places. I think it would easier to just buy my own 3TB Cloud. Tried WD's MyCloud but took it back. It was too fussy, cumbersome to use and slow. I'll eventually find something I like. I prefer having my files under my control but as a last resort will buy space on someone else's cloud. I may even play around with taking an old computer and turning it into a storage server.


If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

Remember, one big advantage of most cloud services is the redundant backup. If you set up your own, don't skimp on total off site backup or you're really putting your data at risk.
I completely agree, I share my 'stuff' around in Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and Box. The only thing I find difficult when using free cloud storage is remembering my u/n and p/w's for each account - but that's where a good trusty password manager comes in handy :p
