Does anyone own this? Target has it on sale for $68 this week and I was thinking about replacing my clock radio. If it has decent sound, the price seems right.
Great. Thanks. I was at Target the other day, but they were sold out. This particular model was only compatible with the Nano's -- from what the rep told me. I'm going to keep an eye on Linens and Things. They seem to have a steady flow of them and often put them on sale.I have it. Mine was a replacement for a clock radio I have had since I was 12 years old (I'm now 21). At that price it's a steal. I think it retails for $99.99, though I got mine new from Best Buy for $50. It's kind of bulky for me but Best Buy was out of a smaller version they had on display and the manager offered the iHome for the price of the smaller one I wanted.
As for the sound -- sounds good to me, best clock radio I've ever had, sound-wise.
The stereo drivers in the exclusive Reson8 speakers claim to deliver astounding clarity, depth, and power and I can see no reason to argue with that statement.
Just don't talk on your cell phone very close to it or it'll make static-y sounds.
It might depend on the accessory and how the bottom of the iPhone compares with the video iPod. The iPhone has the same standard iPod connector and I think it was mentioned during the keynote that it should work with your current accessories. So, this brings up a point that has been niggling at me, and I apologize if this has been addressed elsewhere: will the iPhone be able to utilize the accessories we've already bought for our iPods?
