Granted, I have several IMAP/E-mail accounts setup on my phone.
I have two standard IMAP accounts (Running dovecot on the server), one Yahoo mail, and one GMail account setup.
This happens quite frequently, that I will go in and check e-mail, it will pull down all the e-mail in my primary (dovecot) e-mail, but it won't update the "time last updated" at the bottom of the page. Also if I try and delete a message it will delete it on the iPhone but not the server.
On top of that, if I try and go to my other IMAP account (dovecot again), it will just sit there saying "Checking mail..." with the spin, there is no activity through Wi-Fi or Edge, just sitting there.
I can hit the "Home" button to go back to the main screen, but the phone will get very warm for the next 15-30 minutes, I think it is still trying to inquiry my mail server but no network activity is taking place. This happens quite frequently.
I think it may be related to multiple computers accessing the e-mail account. I have my desktop always logged into the e-mail account (PM DP2) so it will run my mail rules against it.
I have never had any other issues with multiple computers accessing the same mail box, but I think the built in Mail on the iPhone might be having an issue.
Anyone else experiencing this or know a work around/paramter to change on my IMAP server to prevent this from happening?
Thanks!
