iMessage: email address or mobile

Which do you prefer, a mobile number or an email address?

Again I'm just curious...

I haven't use iMessage but I prefer neither. I can't use my phone number because I use Google Voice, so no one has my phone number. I don't want to use my email address because the one I registered is different than what I normally give out to people.
