I've always allowed updates to 'steep' a bit ( a month minimum for full numericals ie 8-9 and so on, a week for incrementals 10.1 to 10.2, you get the idea) simply to peruse the periodicals for signs of trouble. I think I procrastinated going beyond 10.3.3 about the longest, hearing no positive news about 11, but so many horror stories, last of which being the constant re-boots in 11.1.2 after a certain dste/time....leading to a hasty push of 11.2....Now I can truly say 'I told you so' having hustled to (me????) do 2 iPads & 2 iPhones this morning. All went butter smoothly and we're in fact among the quickest I've done since I've used iOS ( 4S, iOS 5 I believe). I did them OTA ( my iMac seems troublesome after I did High Sierra a month or so ago, so I'm awaiting the customary 'bug fix' in due course before getting serious with it, on it - but all is well in iOS. I will add my humble thoughts to the pile of those who feel Steve Jobs must be rolling in his grave about the quality control issues in Apple software

As I came from 10.3.3 I never did see the reboot issue ( I think it was an 11.1.2 mess) but touch wood, nothing untoward has occurred yet on any of our devices. Can't say I like the signal bars ( the dots had class) but what the heck

Reboots started again a few days after the update. Very annoying. Not sure how a factory reset and fresh install will help, but that is my next step. Maybe something in my restored config.

Is it possible that if you restored ( iTunes or iCloud) a backup which was taken before you updated to iOS 11.2, that the calendar bug re-established itself. I've never done an update to rid myself of a bug, without 'going back to a factory reset' then reinstalling all apps simply for that reason, or maybe I've just been lucky to date. Did you do your update via iTunes or OTA? Because of other 'bug & update' related issues with my iMac, this is the first time I've done full numerical updates in iOS by OTA, but they were all smooth and quick. Good Luck

That is my practice as well, for "major" updates. Incremental updates I do OTA and leave everything as is. I think it is time to factory reset and install my apps new. I appreciate you trying to help!

Update 01/03/2018: Finally could not take the random rebooting any longer. Took my phone into the Apple store and they ran some diagnostics and replaced my phone, minimal questions asked. today is 8 days and counting without a reboot.

Seems the answer to this one is "take it in and they should replace it".

I've only had a couple of problems where I had to take my iPhone to the Apple Store for diagnostics, and both times they replaced it without any hassle.
