iOS 4.3.5 Jailbreak Warning!

Hey Guys!

So I jailbroke my iPhone 4 on 4.3.5 using Redsn0w and the 4.3.4 firmware, ANYWAY!

Just so you guys know if you do Jailbreak 4.3.5 this way, it is not like any tethered Jailbreak I have ever used. Your iPhone will not boot AT ALL. It will get stuck on the Apple logo until you boot it from your PC if you accidentally turn it off or it reboots. It doesn't turn on but make the jailbreak useless. It just makes the iPhone a brick.

Lol. One reason I have yet to upgrade from iOS 4.3.3. Being that iOS 5 is getting closer, I probably won't upgrade until then. The damn keynotes look so good I don't even have plans on jailbreaking iOS 5, lol.

My iPhone 4 is still on 4.3.3 and I have absolutely no interest in updating and reverting to a tethered jailbreak. My iPads on iOS 5 un- jailbroken.

Agreed 100%. No point in upgrading. Not even sure of what's new in the updates anyway. Probably nothing good enough to upgrade to I'm sure.

I wouldn't be on 4.3.5 if I could help it.. I downgraded from iOS 5 to 4.3.5 which worked perfectly. But then a downgrade from 4.3.5 to 4.3.3 wouldn't work at all. Oh well I'm tethered for now

I have regretted upgrading both my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 to iOS 5 since the 4.3.3 untethered jailbreak came out and worked on iPad 2 and iPhone 4. I bought MiWi OnDemand which I was never able to use as when I bought it I didn't understand it well enough and didn't realize the iPad 2 had to be jailbroken as well. It automatically connects your iPad to your iPhone when your iPad is not on wifi. I wish I had this as I really miss even tethering with just MiWi. Wish I would have backed up my shsh blobs so I could downgrade and jailbreak.

The new bootrom 3GS' and 3rd gen iPod Touch had fully tethered jailbreaks on 3.x (except Spirit on 3.1.3). Those of us who got ours on release day (old bootrom 3GS') didn't have to deal with that. The new bootrom 3GS' came out in October 2009, so there was only a four month window to get the old bootrom 3GS. Most of the 4.x jailbreaks have been partially tethered, meaning you could boot without a computer, but you'd boot stock.

Thanks for clearing that up, I tried to restore today but I get a 3194 error.. I couldn't be bothered to do a DFU restore so I'm stuck on this jailbreak until I can be bothered

Me too john. After all I was still on 4.1, then successfuly managed to upgrade to 4.3.3 (without any help from anyone on here mind you! ) . I won't be upgrading to 4.3.5 anytime soon either. I will wait now until iOS 5 comes up and if the features are ok then I might consider upgrading.

The features are awesome! I'll still wait for the jailbreak, but I may update early and take advantage of being stock
