Nice wrote up. But I think there is an error. It says the 4S as part of disabling LTE. If I remember the 5 is the first LTE iPhone. Just a heads up to avoid flaming from haters

Our stats are just about even but I got 2 1/2 hrs of use more. I'm on a new 5S

My wife says on the 5 it's not that great but better than the 4S

You have 2 more hours more; not the same..
It's poor.. And I'm not real happy b/c on ios 6.1.4, I was getting between 7 and 8 hours a day..

What do you think about this battery life? I still have 58% left. It drains quickly when I am using the phone.

Besides the fact that the phone has been plugged in since the last full charge. I got 40 hours once. Good times.

Silver moon, I guess that's up to par....not saying mine is the best but with me at 48 and 4 1/2 use age you have 59 with 3 3/4 hrs so figure the 45 mins for the other 9%. But the standby is impressive.

I am impressed with the standby time. I turned off a lot of settings in iOS 7 to increase battery life. Currently I am at 14% and running the battery down to 0 so I can give it a full charge. I read that Apple suggests you to drain the battery at least once a month.

Would you be able to share you're setup or do screenshots? I think I did everything the same as in ios6 and then researched what was new and kill those too

Sure. I turned off most settings under System Services in Location Settings along with Background App Refresh. I set notification alerts to none for apps that I don't use frequently. I have also turned off the notification center and control panel in the lock screen. That is all I can think of right now.

Thanks. Pretty much the same stuff I had. But I made sure I removed all but about 7 apps for the NC list even if they didn't have any alerts or banners turned on
