iOS5 and i-message: how do you do this ?

That means you can start on your iPhone and finish messaging on your iPad. The other party won’t even know you’re doing it on two different Apple devices."

for some odd reason i cannot start a message on one device & pick it up on another. This is between my iPad 1 (IOS5.01) and the Apple iPhone 4s (IOS5.0.1)
And yes , have i cloud in both machines.

anyone care to clarify on this ?

Do you have the feature turned on in settings on both devices and have both your cell and email address listed on both devices?

I do and have some issues. Sometimes I receive a message on both my iPad & iPhone. Other times only on one.

When I get a message on my iPad, then the next message from that person (even days later) doesn't come to my iPhone, only the iPad. Its like they texted directly to the email address.

Any ideas to fix this?
