Good, at least I'm not alone. My 4th gen iPad will be out for delivery next Friday and I hope to have my mini earlier that morning. Figuring a 5 o'clock take off gets me to the store by 5:20 or so. I think the lines might actually be bigger than for the iPhone 5. No contract required is a big thing.
Yeah, it's so hard to guess the right timeframe for these release days, so that you don't wait too much needless time, but also get somewhere near front of the line. I tend to err on the side of getting there at a crazier time so I can be out and back home / at work earlier. Touch wood, it has worked well so far for iPad launches - I've been 7th, 12th, and 3rd in line for previous models - generally out of the store by around 8:30.
I'm going to get an iPad 4 also but I think my rough battle plan for now is: get iPad Mini WiFi on launch day, return / exchange it as soon as the + Cellular models hit, sell my iPad 3 sometime over next week to ten days, then grab the iPad 4 when its + Cellular models are available.

Sucks I have to wait for mine until Mid November for the carrier version, at least I can play with hers until mine comes in, that's if she lets me....
Mine is tracking on FedEx go to fedex then tracking then track by reference then enter your phone # you have on file for Apple order and it will show up

How do you guys do it with the FedEx and UPS site? I've tried both and they don't work. When I do it on the FedEx site it won't let me change the delivery date to 11/2. I ordered them at 3am exactly on the iPhone app as well according to my email receipt.
