iPhone 3GS iOS 4.3.5 baseband 05.16.02 unlock?

Hi guys ive been looking everywhere for this answer but still coming up short , i bought a iPhone 3GS from the UK and i need it unlocked to an irish sim , its a iPhone 3GS Ios 4.3.5 baseband 05.16.02
, ive tried downgrading but iTunes isn't having it with no earlier firmwares saved , also heared about this GEVEY sim but cant find one online for the 3GS anywhere , thanks in advance!

That particular baseband cannot be unlocked, you can't downgrade the baseband either

I don't think the GEVEY SIM works for an iPhone 3GS.

what i thought i guess ill have to wait for a unlock mabey ios 5 , thanks for the reply tho

You can upgrade the baseband to the iPad baseband with Redsn0w then use Ultrasn0w to unlock. The issue is, it may cause GPS malfunction/break. It would also then require you to restore to custom fw on fw 4.2.1 and higher, so you essentially can't use stock firmwares anymore except on 4.1 or below (if SHSHs are available).
