Hello, I have an iPhone 3gs, which I recently purchased, and attempted to jailbreak.
It is on the firmware 6.15.00 and the last update was for 4.3.1.

I used redsn0w to jailbreak, and everything seemed fine. Then, I started to use sn0wbreeze to unlock the phone. Something happened, and now my phone is stuck in recovery/restore screen (USB pointing to iTunes logo)

I have tried to restore to factory settings on iTunes, on multiple computers, with failure.
I have also tried to download 4.1, and another 4.3.1 and hold shift, click restore and select the update that way, also with failure.

Can anyone help me get my phone straightened out?

Thanks

I tried to put iOS 4.3.1 on it, from another computer, using shift clicking restore, selecting the file, and it goes through and at the very end i get the error 1015.

Can someone please help me?

There should be a "Kick device out of recovery" option in TinyUmbrella. Did you find that?

OK, i entered DFU mode, and the "fix recovery" button became available. I clicked it, then clicked "yes".

Imeediately, I got this error message

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime error

Program: C:\Users...

R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library
incorrectly.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I don't know what to do now...

I use a Mac, so I'm not sure about that Windows errror. Do you see an option to "set Hosts file to Cydia" in TinyUmbrella? If so, uncheck that, close TinyUmbrella, and restore again. If not, manually comment out Saurik's server address on your Hosts file first. Just add a # sign in front of the address. It's located in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts.

Change it from this: 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
.................to this: #74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

Do you see an option to "set Hosts file to Cydia on exit" in TinyUmbrella?

On your computer go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and add a pound sign in front of the following line/address. The address should be at the bottom of the file:

74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

When you are done, it will look like this:
#74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

Now, save the Hosts file and try restoring again.

You right click on Start and select Explore. Then go to Windows > System 32 > Drivers > etc > find the hosts file and open it.

If you do have TinyUmbrella, here's where you UNCHECK the set hosts to Cydia:
