Who needs 100Gb of storage on a phone?
People rely on their phones more and more. Phones will probably replace computers in the near future. Instead of having a laptop and a phone, just connect your phone to a keyboard and screen.

You may see 25gb for 199, 50 for 299, and 100 for 399. Really storage isn't that expensive, it's just that Apple charges a lot for it.

or simpler 50gb for 199 and 100 for 299.

Yup, You said connect your phone to a keyboard and screen. Thats exactly what the Moto atrix does... turns your phone into a laptop
Yes, this is what I was thinking of. I just couldn't remember the name of the phone. I don't think 100gb of iPhone storage is unlikely. Apple may not make a dock, but a third party will.

Ya I don't know... In theory that sounds great but a lot of people (like me) wouldn't give up an actual computer system. What I think would work best for them is the following:
They have a dock for them phone. But not like the atrix. Instead it would use the data connection to connect to a cloud server that would give you access to a full Mac OSX system. So the phone connects you virtually and the dock is for i/o.

That wouldn't make any sense. After the iPhone 3GS, the next phone wasn't named iPhone 5..
No, what you are saying doesn't make sense. Hippo is correct. The 3G was named after a network, not an iPhone generation. It was the 2nd iPhone. The 3GS was the 3rd and the iPhone 4 was the 4th. The 4S is the 5th iPhone; they just chose to give it another name. Naming the 6th iPhone (fall 2012) the 5th iPhone makes absolutely no sense.

Hippo's post makes sense to me. The first iPhone was just called iPhone. The second iPhone was the 3G, the third was the 3GS, the fourth was the 4, the fifth the 4S. The next iPhone, the sixth, will not be called iPhone5 but more likely iPhone6 or something else Apple comes up with.

Edit: Dang, Europa types faster than I do ;)

This is why I was hoping they would just call it the iPhone 5.

Okay, I agree with this post.

Just for the record. Apple took a year and a half to release the 4S. Releasing the next iPhone may take 2 years. If they release the 6th iPhone in 2013, it is possible there will be 5g networks (even though they're not expected until 2020). Therefore there is still a slight chance that the 6th iPhone could be named the iPhone 5.

Anyway thanks Europa, and I would like the title to be changed to "iPhone 6 Predictions" if possible.

My question is, why was the first iPhone named the 2G? since it was on a 3G network?

i think it's safe to say their will be no 5g network by 2013. considering how long it took most cell providers to go 4g/lte/wimax etc... and most providers don't have their 4g networks at 100% (all cities).

You can already do this.
Bluetooth keyboard and mouse plus external display.

As for the convertibles, I like this over the Atrix, again since the bluetooth keyboards makes a pseudo-laptop easy. Phone, tablet and laptop all-in-one.

Also, I'd adjust OP prediction to an A6-quad and 128GB max. If, that is it releases next fall. A spring release would still be an A5.
