Yes, this is true, I agreed to this when signing my contract. This is clearly stated in AT&T's Privacy Policy. It's what they choose to do with this information that bothers me and can potentially voilate the privacy policy.
You can thank the guy who won his first election in 2004, thanks to the patriot act this is all happening anyway. OnStar, cell phones, internet searches, ATM/credit, library card...If you use technology you can be surveiled. Is this right? IMO no. Is it happening? Of course it is. I only get to complain about it because I vote, whether one vote counts or not. I suppose I should get used to it because it's not going to change.

I only wish government was as capable and competent as the tin foil hats get concerned about.

I sure as hell hope they can track me through my cell if I have an emergency, but unlike my Verizon phones, I don't see an option to enable 911 location only or all services location (fire, police, etc) like my old phone had.

Anyone know how to enable the government to track my phone? :)

Oh, please. Give us a break. Next, we'll be seeing facts that using the phone is secretly reprogramming our brains.

Oh, one moment please, I just had an unexplained brain core dump. :laugh2:
