Good day to us all,

Thanks, robhon. Now I can see for myself, and can say for myself that they are wonderful, with different colors to reflect different moods... Thanks for the revised link.

Yeah, I'm really trying to hone in on the schizophrenic market. My motto is "more personalities, more choices." :D

Check out this!

The cases look good but is there anything that is a little more hip and modern? Perhaps something more streamlined and sophisticated. The ones pictured look good but kind of suggest woodsyurbanite kind of person. I would love to have a modern city slicker non stichwork exposed and perhaps not the same kind of material used. Smooth texture and seamless design to match my phone.
Titus, and Robhon:

Check out this. I alluded to this vendor in an earlier post. Here is the link:

Minimal/Cool/Urban enough for you? Let's keep an eye on this vendor!

Let me know what you think!

Fortte Leather Cases

I am currently using a nice leather case for my Blackberry made by a company called Fortte. These are very nice cases and are made VERY well. I noticed on their web site www.fortte.com that they plan on making an iPhone case and if you submit your e-mail address they will contact you once they have them ready for sale. Visit their site and check them out.
Towards the bottom of the home page in the middle, click on iPhone cases to submit your e-mail address.

No doubt it's going to be a VERY crowded market of people offering cases for the iPhone.

Rob, your cases are very nice, I was only posting this site because I have dealt with them before and have experience with them. Your cases look great and you will get a positive response with them.

I think it would be great to collect a full list of people making iPhone cases for the people on the forum here. Not sure where it would get posted (Admin?...) but I could certainly provide a bunch of company websites where people could find a large selection.

It would be a nice resource for iphone-arati. :laugh2:

Here are couple of starters for companies I know are going to come out with one:

www.acmemade.com
www.vajacases.com

I'll try to find more.

iPHONE cases?

I hope so. I have the video iPOD now, but I need to have a case for my iPHONE. I have the clear case, and it works great because my iPOD is scratch free (I'm a bit clumsy as you can tell for my entusiasm for a cell phone case!) Well, I hope they offer one too, but I pray they are not expensive because once I buy the iPHONE I will be iBROKE!:laugh2: :)

yup

I agree.. cases special cases should be manufactured like the ipod cases. Rumors say the iPhone cases are similar to the ipod cases but no pictures have seem to come up.

I've always Vaja cases. Their designs and quality of materials are excellent. Pricey, but worth it IMHO.

Any news or rumors if Apple or another company will come out with protective, self-adhesive covers for the screen (they make them for regular ipods) for the iPhone? I would hate to have my new iPhone screen all scartched up from use and such. But I'm a bit worried that a self-adhesive cover may interfere with the touch-screen mechanisms.

Thoughts?

You can expect several manufacturers to have these once the iPhone is released. Speaking from my Treo experience, they should work fine with the multi-touch. I agree, this will be a smart purchase. Nothing worse than a scratched screen.

No doubt that there will be protective covers for the screen, just make sure you are buying legitimate ones that will work with the multi-touch. I have had some in the past that have ruined touch screens, and some that started to scratch the corners of the screen.

That said, I think it would be a very good investment for a case, and maybe some insurance on this baby. Wouldn't be a fun time, buying two of them.

I never understood the point of most cases. I mean, the device is encased in plastic anyway, why add another layer?:p

That being said I do like cases that add to the style or functionality of a device. Those cases you made Robhon are fantastic! much better than the silicone cases that will probably flood the market.
