iPhone DEAD?

Hey everyone I recently purchased an iPhone 4 16 gb off of Kijiji and the phone is not turning on or anything. It is completely dead even when I charge it and leave it for a while. The seller cannot be contacted for some odd reason. What can be done?

BTW, it still is under warranty until November 2011 for eligible hardware repairs and service under Apple's limited warranty. Any advice?

Try holding the home and sleep button for at least 10 seconds.

I have tried everything, it hasn't been working at all.

Will iTunes recognize it? I'm not sure what "everything" is, as it varies person to person.

If not, plug it into iTunes and then hold the sleep/home for 10 seconds to put it in DFU. Then restore.

No when I plug it in, nothing happens. iTunes usually opens up but not anymore. It recently got this problem as it was working fine before.

Plug it into the computer. Restart he computer and see if that works. Crazy I know, but a quick search said it worked.

Yep! They should replace it, as I've seen many stories through a quick search that Apple replaced it.

I just hope I can get a new phone. I have been phoneless for 2 days now. And I have charged it for about 8 hours and nothing has been working

I'm going to say they won't need a proof of purchase. They didn't with mine, but yet in think the lady checked the numbers in the back room. Since your iPhone can't power on, well, that's out of the question. Do you got the box? I'd bring that.
