OKAY, so i know how to use my iPhone but how the heck do you do all the modifications that everyone seems to be talking about. I'm clueless!
Like, changing your icons, WHAT? HOW?
and the theme color of your battery charging picture.
ALso, how the heck do you get music as ringtones?

HELP me please. I've looked around the forum but I don't understand JACK. plus i have a Mac so when I do find a thread, it seems to be for a pc. ick!

iPhone Atlas just had a tutorial on this.

Using IFUNTASTIC for painless Ringstone installation and minor modding with ANY pain at all.

I have a few questions to add, if one already has an ATT account will installing this application, cause any issues with service?

Also, can this tool be used by Windows users? if so are there any tools for Windows users out there?

Thank you

None of the programs cause any issues with service. These tools can be used by windows users, just go to http://hacktheiPhone.com/iPhone_first_ten_steps_to_modding_windows.html

and start from there. once you have your iPhone Jailbreaked you can start doing other stuff such as installing SSH and such. GL

awesome! Thank you for the info!

Oh one more question, after I start moding the phone I am guessing I should no longer update using iTunes?

Probably not. iTunes refused to upgrade my phone and gave me an error message when I tried to run the update (my only "hacking" had been iFuntastic). I had to restore, the run the updates, then run iFuntastic again.

The easiest way to get the iPhone out of jail, install apps, install ringtones, changes system sounds, copy files:
http://cre.ations.net/creation/ibrickr

Yes the name has "brick" in it but this app is no more dangerous than anything else. This app is written and updated by Nat True, who's a trusted iPhone developer/hacker.

I fired it up on my already-jailbreaked iPhone and it immediately knew it was out of jail and went straight to transfer mode. Pretty cool!
