I was using my iPod on the iPhone and all of a sudden it just freezes. I tried holding the home button for 8 seconds to shut down the iPod but that didn't work, and turning the iPhone off didn't work either. I plugged it into my computer and it doesn't seem to recognize it anymore so I can't restore it or anything. Some help please?

Have you tried holding down both the Menu button and the Sleep button (for a good 10 seconds)?

Remove the SIM card?

iPhone froze on me once, it was really weird as it didn't look like the iPod freezing. The screen froze, and the picture started fading out to a point you could barely see anything on the screen.

I hold the menu and sleep button for 8-10 seconds and it restarted the thing. No problem since then.

My first iPhone froze 8 to 10 times a day. I thought they were made like that, but I got a replacement one, and hasn't froze since.

Using a paper clip in the tiny hole at the top of your phone.. You just push it in.. But i would advise not messing with it if you don't have to. Ive heard of people putting it back in wrong then closing it, once closed they couldnt get it back out to seat it correctly = Brick.
Again, if it isn't broke.. don't fix it :p

My phone froze the other night.

I believe i was in the browser and i click on home.
I had to reset the device to get it to work again.

But it hasn't done it any more

Well, the phone is a mini-computer. It's bound to freeze sometimes.
I agree with you to a point, but isn't this the reason we have an Apple product? My home computer (20" iMac) has been much better than any PC I've worked with in terms of reliability and stability. It's part of the reason I converted to Mac back in college, aside from the ease of use with the interface.
