So, are there any items out there that will allow direct input to an Aux port and provide charging at the same time? If so, are those units also compatible with iPods?
I registered just to post this - I have that Belkin adapter and although the audio does go out through it and it says it charging - it depletes the battery VERY fast and makes the phone get hot. Mine doesn't appear to work.
The Apple Genius at my local store said that it could be that it uses the firewire pin layout and not a USB - although my 5th get ipod charged just fine on it.
At this moment - there doesn't seem to be an iPhone car charger with audio out - but I will buy the first one to become available .
