iPhone in Journey Man

This show is going to be great! Right on after Heroes...and the best part - the dude uses an iPhone. I about crapped my pants when I saw him use it for the first time. Definitely cool! Check out Re-Runs on NBC's website.

I had a marketing exam from 8:20-10:00 PM so I missed both the season premieres of Heroes as well as Journey Man. Thank you assembly exams for ruining my life. Hopefully NBC puts them on the website soon. Though, I am now studying for an Intermediate Microeconomics exam that I have tomorrow and then a Biology exam I have on Thursday so I might have to wait a while before I get to see either.
It's pretty awesome about the iPhone though. I wonder how long ago the episode was recorded, surely they weren't given an iPhone prior to the launch just for the show. That would be pretty cool though.

It's an iPhone in some shots, in others its something else. Also, in the first shot we actually see the phone, he's holding it upside down, but the screen is right side up, that is to say the home button appears to be the earpiece in the shot.

Yeah i also noticed the iPhone in the Journeyman episode, which means they got it really early - way before the official release. Wonder how they did that and still kept it all quiet?

Yeah noticed that too. For those who missed journeyman, when I went to dvr it I noticed that each weeks' episodes are rerun on the sci fi network.

On a side note, really good pilot, looks like it will be a good show.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing! LOL! Hopefully the rest won't be about the same as far as being like Quantum Leap.

Obviously something more is going on, with him running into his former fiance who he thought was dead and who knew something about what was happening to them (both apparently). That could prove to be interesting. With Quantum Leap, I never knew what was directing his time jumps. Plus, in QL, he was assuming the identities of people, unlike Journeyman. So there are differences.

I thought the thing with the ring at the end was cool. I was feeling frustrated for the guy with his wife disbelieving him.

I think that they just filmed the few shots that show the screen after the iPhone was released (insert shots). That's why, when you see the full shot of him holding the phone it doesn't look like an iPhone. The back of it looks black.

Close up shots like that are always done last and in the studio. Those aren't even the actor's hands.

We tivo'd this episode and are watching it tonight, had funny feeling that I may see an iPhone in one of these season premiers, and since I've watched heroes already with nothing I figured I may see one in this show.

Filming for the 2nd season of Heroes started on June 29th.... so, they also could have started filming this show on the 29th as well and still made the premiere...it only takes about 4 days to film an episode of a show like this...

This would make sense because if you watch the episode closely, they show the iPhone in his hand from top view (you can see the screen)...then they cut to a shot from below to see his face (but its a different phone! not the iPhone)....

very bad "movie mistake" but at least they use the iPhone.
