Exactly. Stuff that everyone has put behind them, in trade for an amazing interface and features that work WELL.
I don't understand why all these ppl are on like "personal crusades" to "enlighten" everyone that DID buy one, and IS happy with it?

I couldnt agree more. I see so many posts from people WITHOUT the iPhone who are complaining about the lack of features, or it doesn't fulfill their every desire(s). I guess something drives them to try to convince the people who actuallly enjoy it that its not good for them either.

Send that list to Apple and within the next year or so 75% should be fixed through updates. And who know who wouldn't be buying a iPhone today.
I think this guy is wrong saying all these things are available on other phones. Okay, ALL cell phones taken in aggregate, he's right. The iPhone doesn't compare with ALL the features found on ALL the cell phones out there. You can say the same of any cell phone on the market.
I don't think the point of the iPhone is to have everything. The point is to CHANGE THE GAME. This IS a game changing device. And it's coming from a company with a history of creating game changing devices. It doesn't have everything. It's a first product for Apple into a new category. They've done an amazing job pulling it off.
I, for one, am happy as a clam with my iPhone, that cost me 600 clams.

That is okay. Take a second minimum wage job, and you can save up in 9-10 months I am sure.
I am one that does not do forums much because of this reason. I know there will be problems with anything. If humans are not perfect, what we make certainly is not perfect. I too would like to see a forum where it was to shout what was great, help those who needed it, and share the experiences. All negative aside. I too if I was the moderator would bounce these back. Especially the ones with the langauge or hint of the langauge.

Yeah almost to a T the people taking the time to bash the iPhone don't even understand what it is or why it is. It is not about a useless feature list. It is about making features useful. On that front they have hit the mark hard.
I think the zea lots for these other phone companies are worried, because they know they are way behind in the software game, and it will likely take them a long long time to catch up. Heck they had a 20+ year headstart, and they got taken out in short order.
