Does anyone know where the iPhone restore file gets stored when downloaded from iTunes?

Sorry. I should have been more clear. Where is it stored on a mac?

sorry... no idea on the mac... if i owned one i could help you out...

try searching for

iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.ipsw

and if that doesn't work search for

*.ipsw
