My 8gb iPhone spontaneous rang up Mom yesterday, about 6x over 4-5 hours. Very weird. Phone would be sitting there dark, undocked, and then I'd see my screensaver pop up, and 'dialing Mom' message. It disconnected just as fast, but Mom got a ring and checked her caller ID, returned the call to ask why I was pranking her. Well Mom, I said, I'm not pranking you. I'm 40, I haven't done that since 1979. I had to ask Mom not to answer my calls for 2 hours, I'm going to see Transformers (3 Thumbs up by the way) My spiffy new $600 iPhone would appear to be buggy. It is 1.0 afterall, right? ok. At first I thought it was a new Mom iPhone Applet of some sort. Yuh know, if you haven't talked to Mom recently it dials her up. yes, I could use that. But I had just spoken to Mom, and she was on my recent list. Cleared the recent list, it callewd again. Deleted the contact, it stopped. Shutdown and restarted the iPhone, and it called Mom's number, without the contact info one more time. Created a new contact for Mom and and did NOT re-occur overnight. stay tuned.

Very Weird, anyone else observe anything like this?

I won't be happy if this affects my minutes and I have to explain the story to a AT&T cs rep.

I had a similar incident. I was talking with my friend on her cell phone one day, and suddenly the phone just put her on hold, and dialed her house. LOL
I touched NOTHING! The phone was against my face, with the screen off. I pulled it away from my face when I heard silience, and the hold button was lit up, and it was dialing her house. hahah
Just hard reset the phone, (hold home+sleep) and hope you don't see it anymore. :)

Impossible.

The iPhone is perfect in absolutely every way, and something like that could/would never happen.

Please stop making up crazy stories like this.
