iPhone Video in Landscape

When I play a TV episode on the iPhone (purchased from iTunes), the phone automatically rotates the display to landscape, with the headphone port on the left, and the home button on the right.

This is a bit inconvient to hold however, and I've been trying to find a way to "flip" the landscape, so the home button is on the left and headphone on the right. This "flipping" works for Safari, but I can't get it to work for iTunes video for the life of me!

Is there some hidden (or painfully obvious) trick to do this, or am I out of luck?

I notice the same, but why is it more painful go have the headphone on the left and the home button on the right? What's painful exactly?

if your watching a video and holding the phone with 2 hands on the sides your hand can grip the sides without the headphones interfering if the home button is on the left. headphone input is on upper right so it wont interfere with the hands.

I've got bigger hands, so usually can wrap my hand around the back of the unit, gripping on left and right edge. As it is now, the headphone cord is in the way, so have to grip it higher. This isn't very comfortable, and starts to hurt my hands tendons after a while. If it was reversed, then the headphone would be in upper right, and I could "rest" the iPhone in my palm, as well as grip the left and right edges.

also, with the current configuration, if you want to turn the volume UP, you must click the LEFT button (the UP button when the phone is held normally), and RIGHT when you want to turn the volume DOWN.

seem a little backwards? If you just flip the video, the volume would match the standard configuration of:

Sorry if that doesn't make sense... in short: the Volume controls during video playback just seem backwards. just try watching a video and adjusting the volume while watching it.
