Is Cydia crashing because of traffic volumes?

I've just jailbroken my beloved 3gs running 5.0.1 and for some reason cydia will not open at all. Is this something to do with the high traffic volumes.

Do you mean that Cydia ( the app) won't open or that you can't download anything?

I am having a time out issue and it won't let me download anything.

Both John. There's nothing in there to d/l either. Apert from winterboard.

Cydia should still open, try running the jailbreak again with the latest version of Redsn0w. Just make sure to deselect the install cydia check box.
