I was wondering just hypothetically speaking if I were you get my hands on an iPhone that has already been activated but has been reported lost. Could I re-activate it? I know before with older model phones all you had to do is remove the sim card place yours in it. I appreciate the feedback. Thanks

So you stole an iPhone and don't want to get busted on the activation? Your out of luck, Apple registers all the S/Ns with the accounts. And if its reported lost or stolen you'd prob get a message.

No, I haven't stolen one. But, I was thinking about filing a claim and having it replaced so I'd have two iPhones. I bought one for my wife and it would replace my current phone. I've heard of some program some so called "DVD John" create that claims to have cracked the iPhone. Just want some feed back..Thanks

Now, that we've gotten a good laugh:). If some one could just answer such a simple question. I just want to know if its possible to swap sim cards in an iPhone you currently have with a cingular/AT&T phone. Thanks.

Why don't you call 1-800-MY iPhone and see what they tell you to do. Make sure to include specific details about the insurance fraud part.

LOL

You might go to IAmACriminal.com and see if they help you.

Just slap a SIM in it and add the iPhone $20 service to your current plan.
(similar to one of the activation bypass)

As for black listing a phone IMEI, in 7 years at my job I have never seen a Blacklisted At&t or Cingular Cell Phone and we have a lot of lost and found cell phones. (reminds me, should look for usb car charger).
