After looking at some of the mods people have....i want to do it so sooo bad....

But I just don't want to screw anything up....

Is it a long difficult process? Or can i just downloaded mod zip folders and unzip them and im good?

Or what happens when you mod the phone? What do you need to do?

It's not hard. All you need is a little time and patience. You can read here to get answers to your questions and learn how to get started. Good Luck!:)

You have to do them one at a time.

You can't go wrong. They have screenshots of every step!
You can always restore you phone in iTunes to it's original state.

Go for it!:laugh2:

Don't worry! You aren't alone. There has been quite a few people that were tentative about modding their iPhone. But after reading through the instructions and asking questions they found it easier then they thought before hand. I would suggest checking out Manzana, it is a user GUI that may make it easier to mods your iPhone. You can find it here at code.google.com/p/manzana . Try it out and don't be afraid to ask questions, most here at EIP are more than willing to help. Don't forget to read the stickies in the Modification forum for a better understanding of what you are doing.

As stated by others, you can always restore using iTunes.

Good luck!

I was in the same position as you...the 10 steps are easy, and with drag and drop, its a piece of cake! I've changed all my icons, the battery, status bars, and AT&T symbol. Its great, I like the way the mods look.

I was afraid too, but its really a piece of cake.

Did you follow the instructions given in the link I gave you in my last post? You HAVE to do that first.

What is terminal?

" Go to your Applications folder and then go into the Utilities folder and find the program called Terminal. You should move this to your dock for easier access. Note that when typing in the terminal, everything is case sensitive. So watch your capital letters and lower case letters. Do not interchange them, they won't work. "

Im guessing it has something to do with Apple computers....is the Command Prompt the same? The only thing is I think the directions are different, because the instructions don't work in the CMD prompt

are you at the command prompt (this is known as the terminal)? or are you double-clicking on iPhoneinterface file?

also, i've noticed there are a couple of "versions" of iPhoneinterface out there. You may want to try them all and see if you get different results....be patient

do i need to do the thing where i put it in restore mode or something? Like by holding home and the power for 25 seconds? Or does that not matter when using Manzana
