i briefly put on my iskin revo privacy film when I got it and decided it wasn't for me. So I spent a little time trying to get it off and eventually was able to. I am not noticing that the "glide" of my iPhone's glass seems to be missing. It is almost as if I am just sliding my finger against a normal pane of glass. I am not sure if it is a sticky feeling or what but it feels like the glass is missing whatever "wax" it had on it before. The only way I can get it back now is when grease from when I use the phone accumulates then it feels normal. Does anyone have any ideas on what cleaners/waxes/etc to use to get this feeling back? I am kind of ticked the revo privacy film would do this! has anyone else experienced this? or maybe I just overcleaned it after i took the privacy film off and this is how it normally is?

try a little bit of "goo gone" on a cotton ball that is what I used to get sticky thing off from my psp when I removed the screen protector. Or maybe a little bit or baby oil maybe.

alcohol takes too much of the orginal glide out of the screen

thats what happened with mine anyway

what i meant to say is i think alcohol cleans it TOO well, squeaky clean doesn't allow for much of a smooth glide

yeah i'm not sure that it is that it has adhesive on it, but its more that it took the original smooth glide off to some degree, does anyone have any idea on how to get that back?

and what is baby oil... (you can tell i don't have kids)

how about cleaning it with the alcohol and waxing it with some good car wax. Or if you have a silicone cloth, wipe it with that afterwards.

is there a specific type of car wax? I wouldn't want to use the sticky or liquid kind right? has anyone tried this before?

I would use a paste type like meguires gold class. Use SMALL ammount of it with a q-tip. Just be shure to cover the ear piece and any holes with tape so the dust residue wont get into it.

disclaimer- Im not held liable for any damages or anything if you use car wax.

I wonder if something leaked under your privacy film while it was on your screen. I had mine on for a week and took it off. The screen was just the way it was before I put it on.

Iskin says there is nothing applied on there so it can be taken off and reapplied whenever you want.

i don't think anything leaked, i had it on there for a matter of minutes actually.. probably about 5 when it was in my hand the whole time trying to figure out whether or not I like it...

It possibly isn't from the iskin privacy film then, maybe it is just a case of the glass getting too clean, in which I am curious how to get it back to its "greasy and slippery" state
