iTunes Store Live on iPhone

I know that iTunes over the air downloads were just announced, but I just noticed that the iTunes store features on my iPhone are operational. Thought we would need a firmware update for that to occur.

Appears that the ability has always been there just waiting for Apple/AT&T to flip a switch.

I wonder what kind of impact this will have on AT&T's "wonderful" 3g network.

This is I am sure, one of the reasons why they have been working so hard to upgrade the 3G service so much over the past few months.

Its not up on my iPhone yet, but I am running 2.1 JB. I wonder if that has anything to do w/ it?

The same restrictions apply on the iTunes store as on the App Store, however. If you attempt to purchase an album, you must be connected to Wi-Fi or purchase on your computer. There is a 10 mb overall limit to downloads on 3G.
