Jailbreak failed

I tried to jailbreak my phone & it failed. Opened everything & plugged my phone up. It recognized my phone & I clicked jailbreak. I waited over an hour & the status never moved. There was no restore or anything happening with the phone so I unplugged it & was gonns try again but it won't let me. Says there was a failed attempt & says recovery successful. Says to unplug & try again but just repeats same faults.

More information is required...what jailbreak tool and version are you using....at what step is the process breaking down...?

Restore to factory settings, jailbreak, then apply the backup that you created trying to jailbreak the first time.

Also, FYI for people with failed attempts: be sure to remove your passcode lock before trying to jailbreak.
