JB 3GS to 4S. Set up as new or from 3GS back up?

Hello all.

Have a new 4S.

Should I set it up as new or set up with the JB back up?

What's the best way to do it? I'd like notes and email transferred. I can change the apps.

Your back up is a jailbreak back up? If so then you need to set up as new, and then sync

It's personal preference. I like to start clean once a year when I get a new phone, but it's fine to use the backup, even if it was created on a jailbroken device, if you want to save a little time.

Actually, it's okay to use a backup that was created on a jailbroken phone.

I have had it work fine numerous times but recently my wife has had a few problems with backing up from a jb backup. That's the only reason I suggested it. I agree with you about setting up as new whenever I get a new phone. Nice to start clean
