My guess is that others have seen this problem or even posted it but I haven't seen anything on it. When I;m in safari and browsing the iPhone jumps me back into the main screen for no apparent reason. When I go back into Safari I need to start over again. Is this an issue with anyone else, and has anyone found a solution?

reset your phone, you gotta "refresh" it every once in a while. Mabey once a day. Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home button until the phone turns off and then back on, then let go.

wow are you serious? i wonder if bill "crash" gates got a hold of the code to try and make everyone reboot their iPhones all the time.

thanks though - i hardly ever reset my iPhone but i will now if it will improve the performance.

happened to me only onced, but i think the solution is letting it load fully before moving the screen around or clicking any link

This has been addressed many times in here. "Cycling" your phone will help too... hold the sleep/wake button alone until it asks you to slide to power off. Then hit the sleep/wake button until the Apple symbol appears and voila, it should be working for several days without a problem. I turn mine off now to save battery time and avoid interruption in meetings, instead of putting it on vibrate, and I almost never see that particular crash anymore, but there are many others that annoy me (like the phone refusing to hang up after a call, or the screen going black when a call is coming in.)

Yep, I have noticed that it usually happens to me when I'm trying to do something before the page is finished loading.

Usually when I come back to Safari (as opposed to coming back from Safari ;)) my open tabs are still intact. But often the page that was causing the problem has no "back" arrow to select. And in a few cases all the tabs were blown away and I came back to a fresh Safari session.

While this is kinda a PITA, at least it doesn't bring the whole device down (like my Treo likes to do).
