Just installed iTunes 7.3.2 - now I can't sync with my Yahoo address book - help!

Immediately after I upgraded and rebooted, when I attempt to sync my iPhone I get this message:

iTunes could not sync with the Yahoo address book due to an unknown error (4). Please try again later.

Absolutely nothing else has changed besides updating to 7.3.2...what could be wrong?

Hey, my first post! ;-)

I am having the same problem with the Yahoo sync, same error - after the iTunes update. Hopefully a fix will come soon.

OH here is another problem I spotted just now. Im trying to rip a cd into my collection via iTunes and for some strange reason that I've never encounterd it loads the cd like normal, if you play the first track and jump to lets say a track in the middle of the cd, iTunes boots the cd out of iTunes...then you wait wait wait..wait for it..like 5-10 seconds and it automaticly comes back, I was able to reproduce this twice....gonna try for a third time after I'm finished ripping this cd im working on now....
yall try it and see what happens....maybe its a localized thing with just me.

Anyone else having this issue? I just uninstalled 7.3.2 and reinstalled 7.3.1....same thing. :(

Since all I did was install 7.3.2 and this magically started happening, I would think its common...anyone else besides Mikey 101?

I am having the exact same problem. I won't bother repeating it, but maybe someone from Apple is monitoring this page and can help.

I've never been able to sync to Outlook 2000, windows XP pro

Well guys its best to uninstall all Apple related items and install them again. It solved all my issues. Do not use Apple software update. Get the full iTunes.exe from Apple.com. Hope that helps.

Yahoo 2

Did you have the exact same problem?

In any event, who wants to do this after every update?

I'm getting the same error message with the Yahoo Addresses.

Funny thing is, when I check my Yahoo addresses, they are all in sync with my iPhone. To test this, just make a new contact on your phone called "test". Then sync your phone. Check Yahoo and it should be there. Then edit the "test" contact online, sync again, and it should be now edited on your phone.

Eh, I gave up. I exported my Yahoo Address book to my desktop as a .txt file. Then imported the file into Windows Address Book. Changed iTunes from Yahoo to Windows and no further issues.

Well I just had a bizzare thing happen. I downloaded 7.3.2. Synced my Outlook 2007 calendar and all of a sudden I had over 100 reminders start popping up in Outlook with stuff old. I dismissed them all and they popped up again! What a crock! It looks like they may be gone after the third attempt to dismiss them.

Same here...

I have the same error(4) problem since the software upgrade. I have tried many times to sync up the iPhone Contacts to Yahoo! Addressbook, and encountered the same error(4) message.

Hope Apple acknowledges this error and resolve it soon :(

With best regards,
- Alex.

Well my issue got even worse I just realized this morning. Anything that I had in Outlook as a recurring item such a birthdays and weekly meetings, etc. were totally deleted from my Outlook calendar. REALLY irked me BIG TIME!

Bump.

On 1.0.1, I still have the error(4) message when syncing with Yahoo! Address Book... :(

Would anyone have any insights or updates about how to resolve this error?

Thanks a million,

With best regards,
- Alex.

I did a stupid move -- after trying everything and still got the error(4), I tried to erase my Yahoo! Address Book Contacts and sync with my iPhone again.

$&!#* After the sync, now all the Contacts in my iPhone disappeared! $&!#*

Hope my stupid move serves a warning to others -- Always backup all the contacts in a file and save a hardcopy somewhere.

With best regards,

Outlook 2007 sync problem with iTunes 7.3.2

Had exactly the same problem as Dallas Phil except only had to dismiss once, but then realized all recurring events not only disappeared on the iPhone, but it also deleted them from my Outlook. Luckily I could restore from a backup made the previous night, but now they will not sync with iPhone and my phone number doesn't show up in iTunes.

Somebody needs to get their s**t together at Apple and quit knee-jerking us around here with flawed updates to both iTunes and/or iPhone software.:(
