8 gig and I can't hear hardly anything out of my speakerphone with volume maxed. I'm kinda pissed. They better have a replacement for me tomorrow at the store. Is yours a 4gig or 8gig model?
yes cant hear very well - whats up with that .. what - whats up with that -- what i cant hear you -- whats up with that -- exactly8 gig and I can't hear hardly anything out of my speakerphone with volume maxed. I'm kinda pissed. They better have a replacement for me tomorrow at the store.
Nope no plastic or anything. Just a legitimate defect.I had the same problem with not being able to hear the calling person when on the phone. Took the plastic protector cover off the front of the iPhone and everything is great now, lol. The plastic cover was covering the earpiece. Hope your guys problem is the same simple one I had!
silly question to ask, but WHILE IN CALL did you adjust the volume again? mine was at 1/2 level on speakerphone and then I hit the volume key again. It was quite loud after that. If you adjust the volume while NOT in call then it only adjusts the ringer volume. I hope this solves at least some of your troubles.yes cant hear very well - whats up with that .. what - whats up with that -- what i cant hear you -- whats up with that -- exactly
Yeah i found that out the hard way. I thought my motorola v500 was broken because the speaker was so quiet. After begging for weeks that i needed to get a new phone, my dad bought me one. The same day it arrived i found out the real promblem was i need to turn up the sound in a call. Lets just say, that hasn't been mentioned as of yetsilly question to ask, but WHILE IN CALL did you adjust the volume again? mine was at 1/2 level on speakerphone and then I hit the volume key again. SAME PROBLEM! any solutions? or the phone's speaker is busted?Mine arrived 8 ours ago. I went to mess with it and went to play ringtones. I clicked one and....nothing....I thought, thats stupid. Well come to find out it is not that the ringtones don't play a sample when you click them. The speaker is broken.
If I play a song, and I put the corner of the phone with the speaker literally IN my ear, I can BARELY hear it.
I called Apple. Troubleshoot. Yup...broken. Options?
1. Send in for repair. NOT!
2. Return to ATT store for replacement. Problem - Nobody has em!
I was PISSED. I told the guy, you guys should already be shipping me a new one and an RMA to return this one.
Anyway, not happy with their service but the phone is amazing. Not mad about it being broken....it happens. I am mad about them not taking care of me. $600 device, new product etc. they should be doing EVERYTHING they can to make people happy. They said if you bought it at ATT you had to go back to ATT, if from Apple to Apple. Online? Yet another return process. I told them they should all be the same. He replied, "If you buy a Ford in New York you cant return it just anywhere." I replied, "This ain't a car!"
Anyway, enough rambling. Love the device. Irritated about the service.
It looks like we all have to go to the doctor and get our hearing checked. Unless you forgot to take off the plastic ;-)I have the same problem to.
My speakerphone is not loud enough. I have it maxed and still it sounds very low. I mean I can still hear the caller but it requres me to listen hard. I took the PHONE to the Apple store for replacement and the new one is the SAME THING!. Grrrrrrrrr. I might try once more for replacement to see if I got double lucky or something, if not, that i'm affraid this is just the way they built the speaker phones.
