My boyfriend has been talking about this phone and I was not impressed until I saw the Demo. I will definitely be buying one now!

Good day to us all,

I know that I saw an advert about iPhone coming up and it caught my eye, but seeing the demo is what is compelling me to purchase one when it finally comes out... Hurry June! I can't wait!

I think all the people that hate on the iPhone didn't watch the keynote. The demo is amazing.
I think you hit the nail on the head. If you just get a spec sheet for the iPhone and compare it against most smart phones, it isn't very impressive. The only things that would stand out are the multi-touch screen, OS X and Visual Voicemail.

It is not until you see the phone's UI that you understand why the iPhone is different than current phones. For instance, on the specs you see it has a web browser, but so does my current phone. When you see the browser in use you realize that it actually is functional. The browser in my phone is so poorly implemented I think I have used it three times in the year I have owned it. What good is feature if it is cumbersome that you don't use it?

Sorry for the rant. I just came from another forum where everyone was trashing the iPhone. It was obvious to me that most them hadn't watched the demo. I feel better now that I am back at EI :).

co-sign. I like to read all the hate against it. I thinks its all funny that people are saying its a flop before it even comes out.

this is the first forum i found where everyone isn't bashing the phone - i love the fact that people say things about how the qwerty keyboard wont work because its touch screen and the screen will scratch and turn on and off by accident and blah blah blah without even touching the iPhone - while they are legit QUESTIONS they are not legit comments!
the keynote made the phone look amazing - i think that the UI (as with all of Apple's UIs) will be so innovative and fluid that all of the "problems" with the all touch screen concept will be nullified.

can't wait for it to come out! (June 11th i hear?)

turn on and off by accident
What forum was that question raised on?

I don't see how that could happen. Did those idiots know you have to slide your finger across the screen in like a quarter of an inch area on the screen to unlock it? I can see how the top buttom to wake it from sleep could be hit, but im sure it will turn off again if its not unlocked in a minute or two. Actually Im being just as bad as them, Im not going to say anything else about what it can and can't do intill I have one in my hand.
