So I have been cleaning today because I am bored and was cleaning my desk. In cleaning that area I decided to pull out my CPU and clean it. I removed the cover and was shocked at what I found. I am lucky I haven't had damage yet. Good news is I will remember to clean it more now and have potatoes for dinner.

Clean your CPU's people!

Unplug it and get a small hoover in there. I took my old MacBook apart a few weeks back and it had dust from 4 years ago inside it. Have a look inside your keyboard too, you'll find stuff in there you wouldn't think possible.

Or a leaf blower.
No kidding right. I took the dirt devil first. Then used the compressed air to get more and more out. It's clean now. Potatoes harvested. Good to go. Was gross though. I am a clean person. Out of sight I guess. Makes me wonder what the inside of other people's CPU's look like.

Cairo, Egypt.
Glad I don't use desktop computers anymore. Hardly any dust goes into my MacBook Pro, although after John's post, I'm becoming hesitant of my initial belief. It's only less than a year old, though, so I don't think I have to worry yet.

I'm with you, I lived in a very old apartment when I had my desktop and it would get like that all the time.

Same here, carpet everywhere, I raised it as high from the carpet as I could and it never got that bad again.
I have a very small desk so it being under my desk is the only option I use it every day to burn DVDs and my photography. That's it. Never use it for anything else.

I seriously thought that said "DVD's and my pornography" at first.
