It'll be interesting to find out if it really works there.

i'm going to france myself next week. i've called AT&T and activated intl'l roaming. it'll be $1.29/min voice and $0.02/min data. pretty steep.

i plan to remove the sim and stick to wifi as much as possible.

Does the iPhone work in Paris, France?

Will it work Right now, as you read this?

Yes it will work there. It's a quad band GSM phone. I haven't been there since getting the iPhone but I was there years ago with an early quad band phone (Treo 600) and it work fine. As stated in the early reply you will want to get AT&T to include international roaming first, and don't use data while roaming it will cost an arm and a leg!
