I wasn't crazy about the LifeProof fre when I reviewed it back in February. Muffled sounds and buzzing were issues for me. At $30, I decided to pick one up. Maybe they've fixed the issues with newer batches, so we'll see. There were a lot of good things about the case, which is why I jumped back in at $30. My review was based on it being an $80 case.
Are you going to review the LifeProof Nuud next?

I tried the nuud. It's thicker and the rubber around the screen was a lint collector. But my main and only deal breaker gripe was I didn't feel I couldnt trust the seal on the front.

I don't use my phone in water activities but I rely on my LP fre for accidental spills.

And who knows if the 5s is slightly thinner due to new screen technology. I'm sure the seal depends on how tight the phone and case stick together. But this is a longshot b/c the 5s will probably be in the same housing as the 5

The LifeProof Nuud came through just a lil while ago. The lid on my coffee cup wasn't secure and when I got out of my vehicle, my coffee spilled all over my phone in the LifeProof.

I am surprised the price point is not closer to $99. You know what they say, $99.99 looks better that $105.99...

I am debating on putting my 5s in my lifeproof nuud case. It is tearing me apart I can't seem to make up my mind on doing so. I already noticed that lifeproof has a sign up for the new cases coming out for 5s. I guess I will just keep it in the leather case I got on launch..
AT&T has the fre for 40 that's half off. Return the crap not so protective leather Apple one. I bought a new fre in teal and retired my beat up black one.

I think 40 is very reasonable to protect my brand new 5S until LP makes a new one. Which will probably take awhile.

Well I have a LP nuud case I just purchased about 2 months ago for my 5. I assume LP is making one with a clear home button? Maybe I will return the leather one.. That actually sounds like a great idea because I am not sold on the durability of it.

Can't even compare the 2.....4 element protection vs leather

Love it except no one can hear me and I'm having trouble hearing them too.
Try taking the phone out of the case and look at the bottom gaskets. Putting the phone in incorrectly can cause that to shift and partially block the vents. Insert the phone bottom piece first at an angle, then push the phone in the rest of the way. See if that helps.

I am thinking of getting one for a friend as a present. Where he works there is a lot of iron fillings, a lot of dust and rust in the air. Would this LifeProof Nuud case handle it?
